As during the year, a number of tournaments and festivals dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Armenian volleyball will be held. Here is a brief historical overview of the history of Armenian volleyball: “According to the veterans of the Armenian sports world, in 1926, in one of the military units of Leninakan, the Russian frontier athletes showed the “volleyball” game within the framework of the Labour day (May 1) celebration. The Leninakan athletes present at the show liked it very much. With the help of military athletes, the people of Leninakan mastered the rules of the new game, technical tricks, and already 3 months later they wanted to compete with military athletes”.
